About Ralu Atomei

I have always
wanted to know
what’s underneath.

The behaviour. The expectation. The version of events that makes perfect sense until you ask one more question.

It is how I think. It is also the foundation of everything I create.

Psychology, sociology and real life

People are complicated.
That is where it gets interesting.

I studied Psychology and Education Sciences, and Sociology and International Relations. I was interested in the person and the systems around her: how we learn to belong, whose rules we absorb and what we do to stay safe inside them.

Then I spent more than 17 years in the corporate world, leading teams and working alongside global executives on multimillion-dollar projects. I know what high responsibility feels like. I also know how easy it is to mistake functioning well for feeling well.

What I had to question

The life that works
on paper.

I had become very good at being the capable one. Calm on the outside, carrying far more than anyone could see.

Burnout, infertility and the experience of becoming a mother changed what I was prepared to call success. I could no longer build my work on the assumption that my wellbeing would somehow catch up later.

I began questioning the rules I had inherited about leadership, ambition and sacrifice. I have rebuilt things more than once. I do not say that as a neat before-and-after story. I say it because choosing differently is a practice, including for me.

Working with Ralu has opened up my eyes so much that I needed to uncover and work. I absolutely loved working with her and I know if I ever needed support again, she would be the one I go to from now on.

How I work

I listen for
the pattern.
Including the body.

The woman in front of me may have years of insight and still find herself saying yes when she means no. Understanding her history is part of the picture. So is noticing what happens when she tries to act differently.

My somatic and trauma-informed training lets me work with that gap carefully. My strategic experience helps us keep the whole system in view.

the conversation.

I draw on these in context. You will not be handed a list of techniques and asked to fit yourself around them.

I discovered Ralu when nothing seemed to work anymore, and anxiety had already taken over my entire social life. After just two sessions, I began to understand, embrace, and accept my anxiety. During my sessions I cried, I laughed, I was understood, and my emotions and feelings were validated by Ralu. I understood how important my body is and how much I neglected it. I understood that it was not my fault and that I had to be gentle with myself. I understood the effects of trauma and embraced my inner child. Thank you Ralu for this healing journey!
